Does anybody else use reclaimed shot? I've been using it for a couple of years now. I took a shovel and some buckets to a local club and just skimmed the top of the dirt, mostly sand. I made a sifter box and ran water over the top of it. I strained three different times to get the dirt and different size rocks out. Then I sun dried the shot. The problem is the shot has like a white rust on it and is very dirty. I set up my squirrel cage fan and use the wind to help remove small pebbles and fine dust and dirt. The loaders don't like it very well, but for sporting clays and cowboy shooting it works great. I have saved a lot of cash not having to by shot.

You know the libertards in the EPA call the lead in firing ranges to be a hazardous substance? What you do with a shovel and a bucket requires full hazmat suits and respirators for the "cleanup guys" with the EPA.

I applaud what you are doing, you rebel..... Warsaw R&P?

I also melt down quite a bit for casting bullets, some of the shot I use as-is (sifted and cleaned) for my low power black powder and damascus barrel guns. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
