    As someone that visits Ohio twice a month, I'd love to see this happen...

    ...As long as you don't have to follow their "MUST IMMEDIATE TELL AN OFFICER YOU HAVE A GUN" rule when pulled over. After watching that one video a while back of the officer exploding at someone... makes me uneasy.

    unless they change that law/rule specifically, it will stand.

    The legislation also seeks to make Ohio compliant with the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, so anyone with a state handgun license doesn't have to get an NICS check when they purchase a firearm.

    Is this good or bad? On it's face, this sounds like something we ought to go for here but is there a trade off that would make this not worith it?

    Any time you carry in another state, you must comply with their laws.

    Is this good or bad? On it's face, this sounds like something we ought to go for here but is there a trade off that would make this not worith it?
    I've wondered about that. It'd be an improvement tothe process to just show my LTCH and walk out with my purchase but a law like that would probably require something more substantial than my LTCH info laser printed on pink paper.
