    Where's the bacon?
Interesting. The shrooms were growing on the farm... I don't have any reason to confirm or doubt their innocence or guilt, but this does make me wonder as to what would happen if you owned property and those or other illegal but naturally occurring plants/fungi began growing there without intervention or cultivation by the owner? Would this still be a crime for which the owner would be arrested, tried, and possibly convicted? In the absence of evidence to the contrary, it would seem like the only crime is that you actually owned property.

    :twocents:

I would like to know how guilt is determined in such cases... or rather, how the decision is made to arrest or not.

(and before anyone decides to be a *quasi-intelligent burro*, I own less than a half-acre, and my house occupies most of it. No weird plants or fungi here, and yes, I'm willing to prove it.)

    Blessings,
    Bill
