pro-gun bumper sticker as probable cause for pat down

Hard to believe, but that's the case in this one. What a sad state of affairs we've come to in this country. Besides being a thief magnet, it's situations like this that make me shy away from most bumper stickers that have to do with the 2nd Amendment or shooting sports.

Just to note, that was a sticker for a gun board in Georgia. A gun forum.

This is why I don't put anything on my vehicles. Not even something benign like a university or sports team. All it takes is one guy with an axe to grind to use it against you.

Nothing gun related or patriotic on the car. An American flag decal is enough to "cause an officer to be concerned for his safety."

It was just a couple of years ago that Homeland Security told police officers that Veterans of the US Armed forces were likely to be members of violent militias and should be approached with caution.
