I don't know a whole lot about this gun except that it's a Winchester 94R 30-30. The guy I'm talking to values it at $500, but that seems pretty steep to me.

I believe this is a new-ish gun. Maybe 4-5 years old or slightly older?

Anybody know what this gun is worth?

im not sure what the newer ones are going for.but i am curious about it.i have a much older one that is the special illinois edition one.its never been shot still in the box and a guy offered me $850 for it once before.id look around on gunbroker or auction arms and see what their going for on there then compare it to the one your looking at.

I am thinking about getting rid of my Marlin 30/30 (consolidating my in-use calibers).
Interested in any kind of trades.
(have ammo, reloading supplies, scope and see-through-rings)

Also seems a little high to me. Winchester had a million different 94 models by the end, too. A standard model, which is just a plain jane, is worth $425 at 100% according to the blue book. The 30/30's don't seem to be worth as much as the .357, .44, .45LC, etc.

Gunbroker has more current pricing than the Blue Book.

Unless you really want a Winchester, you can find a Marlin for cheaper.

I think the Dick's ad last weekend had the Marlin for $300 NIB. Unfortunately, I can't find the ad's on their website :(

    Thanks guys!

It's actually a trade deal. I personally like Marlin better for their lever guns, but this guy has a Winchester to trade so I was looking into it.

$500 seems high, but like the man said....they're not making them any more. So if you want a gen-u-wine piece of Americana that you can actually shoot, go for it.

This past Spring, I bought a near mint model 94e in 30-30 with super nice wood off Gunbroker for 425.00 plus shipping. Most sellers were asking upwards of 600.00 or more at the time depending on the caliber.

I know the e stands for angle eject, but I don't know what the R designate. Do you know?
