    I wouldn't be surprised if their sign budget is about 100x that of other parks because of thievery. I think the only thing that keeps the "OH-420 Stony Ridge Rd." sign near me standing is the insanely well lit area it is placed.

    This recreation area is dedicated to the man in the link I have posted below. It was originally to be a new Army Air-corps (Airforce) base but was abandoned in the 1950's. From the air or on Google Earth satellite you can still see where the main runway and taxiways were laid out and graded. :)

    Lol....I camped there when going to a concert at alpine valley over 10 years ago. I will just say that at least that night, the place lived up to its namesake.
