Well this was part of a trade and all I can say is WOW she was beat up down left and right. Missing the screws that hold it together.
    Bolt sticks.

I sanded the stock smooth and blued it 6 times before I was happy with it. Broke it down to part and cleaned and oiled everything 3 times.

I then stained the stock blue (the blue on from the rifle made me do it) 5 coats of lacquer and I am still not happy. So it will be sanded and done again down the road.
Need to make sure it will fire first LOL

Now if you missed it the stock is 2 sticks of wood the top is lite and the bottom is dark. The blue stain did not do too well because of this.
Hints why i'll start all over after my wife smacks it around for a month or 2.

I hate to say this but I actually like the way the blue streaked with the brown! Might just be the photo, but...

The top looks great but the bottom
In the last pic you cant see much blue in the lower left side.
The wood does not have as many pours as the top harder wood.
The blue looks really really good, the pictures don't really do alot for it.

But for what I have in it I must say it's a really nice rifle. (If it will fire)
All in all with everything to refinish it I have less than $50 in it (with the rifle)

I do need to find a butt plate or make one.

It looks Waaaay better than a plain Model 60. Nice job.

It shouldn't take too much $$$ to replace any worn/broken parts. It's be a shame to not use that stock.
