    The 4077th


    This is the last boat my father served on in the Navy, the USS Nitro (AE-23). Granted, this picture is from before his time, but it's the same boat.



    This is my brother from one of his three trips to the desert with the USAF, at Bagram AB Afghanistan.

    And I don't have a picture of it, but the thing I treasure most in the house is my father in laws WWII bayonet from his service in Japan. The man is nothing but modest about his service (he does not like being called a veteran since he didn't do any fighting), but I'd run back in to save it from a house fire, and leave the rest.
