Ack! A cloud of flying ants just invaded the deck and they're flying around the LED strip lights.
Took the dog out to the park early yesterday for a walk along the river.

There was a partial brood of praying mantises using my windshield as an LZ and moving on. I wouldn't say a swarm but more like a heavy stream.
They were fresh ones, only about 1/8in long and still almost clear.

Thought they were some kind of nuclear gnats from Asia or something and almost hit the wiper/washer.
    Why were they clear?
Took a few seconds to get a good look and see what they were.
NO, no, let them be. There were quite a few, though.

I would probably spray the winged ants, but I think we could use more mantises.

And just like that, the ants are all gone. I looked to see if we had any flying insect killer, but if we do, it's packed away in the camping box. All I could find was wasp and hornet killer and I didn't want to use that.
