    They got way different jurisdiction as far as the laws go......... and Sheriff is a lot more political than police.........
    I'm pretty sure they can both arrest for any violation of Indiana Code. As far as day-to-day duties, maybe. Marion County Sheriffs Office is mostly in charge of serving warrants and transporting prisoners, but they can still arrest people.
