Got some outside stuff done. Round steak in the oven for tonight and making beef and noodles for tomorrow night. Got a winter "box" for BC set up on the front porch with some straw in it. I had it in the barn from when I used to put a heat light in there for the cats. No more heat lights after they nearly burned the barn done one night, but I figured he might appreciate some shelter since he seems to want to hang out on the porch rather than going into any of the buildings. He may change his mind when it gets colder, but at least he has shelter from the wind and rain. I can add a heating pad later if needed.

I need to go make some potatoes to go with the round steak and butternut squash. Thought maybe the cell phones would be back on by now but I'm not sure I expect them to return to functioning status anytime soon. This is ridiculous.

The whole area seems to be down. Not just Verizon...AT&T, T-Mobile...all of them. ATM machines aren't working. Stores are operating on cash only because they can't run credit cards. It's ridiculous. I have no idea what it is like at work. It was very spotty at my mom's today too. I did have it in one are on the way home but most of our county had no signal at all.

Sounds like a normal day since t mobile bought sprint. My service has consistently sucked since then
