I'm thinking about coloring the emblems and markings on my MP9C.

Am wondering who here may have already done this and what color to use?
I'm thinking a real bright white or I wondered about gold also.

It would be really cool to see some pics of your "color jobs" if you all have already done this

    Thanks for the help! :D

One thing you might try is using crayon. This way you can 'test' different colors. I am assuming it could be cleaned up/removed without much hassle.

I did mine in acrylic enamel. I did an "Old Gold" to make it my Purdue pistol. I'll post a pic tonight when I get home. It turned out really well. I used the paint, q-tips, and non-acetone fingernail polish remover.

you can never go wrong with white. But i have seen some in red that do look pretty good! im debating on what to do with mine as well. :D

That's what I thought too. White us really the only thing I've seen. That's why I was hoping some if the guys (girls) on here would put up some pics

I did my XD in a flat grey and it looks nice. I don't have pics because I use my phone to get on the forum. I've also used a dark red color on my AR and it looks pretty nice. I'm not one for real bright colors, I like the muted tones better.

Thanks very much guys for the pics! They both look great

After I do this tho, is there any way to get this stuff "off" if I wanted to revert back to original? Just curious

But the way your 2 look, I don't know why I would if it turns out that good.

No problem. You should be able to get it out if you use acetone-free nail polish remover on a q-tip and maybe pick it out with a toothpick. I accidentally pulled a couple letters out when I went a little overboard while I was "wiping off the excess." So, I redid those couple letters and all was well again. Granted they hadn't really "cured" in there, but the paint was fairly dry, so I think you could do it with a little elbow grease.

I used china marker on my 15-22, and I like the way it turned out:

I also did an M1A magazine, and I think it turned out well:

The benefit (or drawback, depending on your perspective) it that this method is not permanent, so you can change or remove it anytime if you decide you don't like it.

This looks awesome!! I love the Purdue Old Gold. I might have to do something like that with the Glock!! Thanks for the idea. Where did you guys get the acrylic enamel to do this?
