Any one have any idea how to tell how old ammo is? I was given some Remington 22lr it is labeled Remington Dupont clean bore and it does not have any warning's on the box. The. Casing almost look like a 22 short with a larger lead round nose.

If you can post a pic I can give you a rough estimate. Remington?dupont clean bore was made for quit some time. Does the label look like a dogbone.

Best guess 1950's. With the provided info.

My M&P 15-22 shoots anything I feed it. I know some of my ammo was over 35 years old.

I still have some .22 left around from my grandfather. CCI 100 packs and even some old packages of Kleenbore. It is pretty cool to have so I haven't shot it. The CCI 100 packs have a price on them of $2.19. Good old days.
