Would an old dead non working fridge be good to store powder and primers in.
Say the powder in the fridge section and the primers in the upper freezer section. Has anyone done this, and will it keep everything dry etc. Also would it be useful for storage of the cartridges.

It should work just fine as long as the door seals are in good shape. Drill a hole in the back and insert a Golden Rod and it will stay nice and dry.

We used to have an old fridge in our fabrication shop where we stored welding rods. We took the bottom drawers out and sat a small bucket of silica gel there. Once or twice a year we would take the gel out and dry it in an oven then return it to the fridge.

We used to keep other moisture sensitive things in the freezer section.

I would think it would work good for ammo as well.

    Good idea..

this is a good idea. in the past, I used an old fridge to store my cans of ammo in, because the fridge would insulate the ammo from extreme temperature swings (Indiana is famous for these) and for the sealing ability of a fridge. maybe throw a dehumidifier in with the items and be good to go
