@tv1217 - are you one of the guys who also whine when the overtime is gone?

On our paystubs OT hours were listed under "PEN". I had to repeatedly explain that PEN was short for penalty. The company had to pay a penalty for working you overtime.

Too many folks want the OT and beg for it. When laid off people were put in another department the usual sentiment from the regulars in that department was f**k 'em, they're taking my OT. I'm talking about where everyone was still getting 40 hours.

I'm sure you turn down ALL overtime that you can, right?

The fight for the 40 hour week and 8 hour day has been lost to greed.

As far as your killing a bunch of folks cause you're too tired to drive, that's on you. Don't drive impaired, period. The reason doesn't matter. What, are you some boomer who thinks that because they've been driving 50 years the rules don't apply?

I don't remember that being in the contract.
Boss is supposed to schedule the next guy to come in an hour early when this happens (daylight saving, and already on a double)
