    LUCKY!!!

So I made an appointment with Hessville Plumbing they are coming out tomorrow in the AM to give me an estimate on a battery backup sump pump.

So I'm in the crawl cleaning out the area and making sure they have room to look at the current pump, the holes, etc. Guess what I find out?

The current pump, I do believe is DEAD!!! :wow: :wow:
I tried the float and nothing.
I filled up a bucket with water poured it into the hole and nothing.
Filled the bucket again and while the water level goes up, still nothing!

I then tried to pick it up but when I hooked the handle onto a wire hanger the metal handle on the pump broke!!!
    It disintegrated!!! :faint:

The rest of the pump looks more like a coral reef than anything else.

So I figured I wait until they look at it tomorrow and most likely I'll be getting an estimate for a new main sump pump and a battery backup one as well.

Jedi, you might want to check on a backup pump that runs on city water pressure. No worrying about a battery backup then.
