Anybody know an ffl in northwest Indiana around Hammond that does transfers cheaper than 50bucks. It seems a little ridiculous to me to charge so much to fill two sheets of paper but to each his own, I'm not that familiar with the whole process.

There's a dealer in Hartford City that does them for 15 bucks. After calling around, I thought $35 and $50 was just way too much to fill out a bit of paper work.

I asked the dealer what the deal was, and he says most gun shops are raising their prices to the sky because they don't really want to do transfers, but don't want the bad rep of saying they don't do them period.

Even if I lived quite some way away, I'd still go to who's cheapest (Within reason), not because I care about saving so much money, but more because the guy who actually wants my money and gives a compelling reason for me to give it to him will get my money.
