The norks are at it again! What amazes me is the norkAF was able to fly 12 sorties. It's not like they get to fly alot, like twice a year... at least it used to be that way.
ROKAF responded with 30 fighters. Not sure on how they have their squadrons organized now, but 18-24 fighters per squadron is pretty standard. Considering in Iceland the 57th Fighter Interceptor Squadron had 20 aircraft with 4 on alert all the time... 30 is a bunch of fighters to launch.

North Korea deployed 12 warplanes to the South Korean border Thursday, prompting 30 fighter jets to scramble. Kim Jong Un has launched several missiles in recent days.
