What gives is something now worth more because it just came out? I have had my eye on a Springfield EMP 4 and it seems most of the shops in my area have jacked the price up by $200.00 on them. Are they that good? Anyone have any experience with them yet? Thanks

It's like that with any in demand gun when it first comes out. When S&W Shields hit the market, people were paying $500+ (over MSRP) for them. But, a couple years later it's hard to find them over $400 new. We see it every time the new hotness hits the shelves. People will pay more for a new to the market item, just to say they have it.

    Haven't fondled one yet.

But just like anything else, there is always a bigger better deal somewhere.

Broaden your searches to outside of your area, if possible, never know what you may find.
