I got this just a few weeks back, and really enjoy it! Its a NIB Ruger P94 .40 cal. I just got a Fobus holster and a Houge slip on grip. I am still waiting for my LTC, but we all know how long thats going to take! Are there any aftermarket acc. that you can purchase for these?

Ha it truly is! There is nothing light weight about it. I have heard nothing but good things about them. Its pretty heavy to carry on your side though :(

Ruger...about as solid of a gun as one can get. I would suggest night sights for night time or low light situations...but that's about all that's available for the Rugers. Great guns, but you can't 'dress them up' very much. The best thing about them...they are rugged, rugged, and rugged!

I had one of those once, a P94DC stainless 9mm. It was a neat gun. I've still got a Galco Fletch holster for it. Never can tell when I might buy another LOL.

Congrats! Never met a Ruger I didn't like! They are all built like tanks and almost "over-engineered", but they go bang everytime and go bang for many, many, many, years!

    Yep, Congratulations!

My first hand gun was a Ruger P95, 9mm.
    And I still have it.
The Ruger P series pistols are great first guns.... enjoy!!!
    Practice makes perfect.

These may not be the prettiest guns but they sure are solidly built. The first and foremost thing is always being safe with weapons, and the second most important thing is always being familiar with your pistol whether it's used for carry duty, home defense, or target shooting. Especially if you are going to be using this for HD/carry duty, as others have said, get night sights ASAP. I personally like contrasting dots - 2 green in the back, and a red dot up front - but find what it is that YOU like and what works best for YOU.

    Enjoy and shoot safely!
