NEED SOME INFORMATION

We are going up to Flint Michigan to visit family this weekend. I know Michigan honers our concealed carry license and I always put my gun in the vehicle when we go up there. But I was thinking do cities have there own laws when it comes to carrying or do they have to honer my license, should I call Flint Police Department to make sure I'm good.

Never call local PD for legal advice. Unless your looking for comic relief. 99% of the time you will get the answer they want you to have. Your best bet is to look up MI handgun law. Read through it. Or contact a lawyer specializing in firearms law.

Your IN CCW is good anyplace in MI but you have to abide by MI CCW laws, you can go here and read where you can and can not carry, Hope this helps, click the link below.

You are good to go in Michigan.

Some of the basics. Still check the MSP website and MGO.

If stopped by police you must inform them that you have your LTCH and are armed.

No schools
no bars
If the place serves drinks stay away from the bar area. Any resturant that makes 51% or more in food sales is ok.
Dont carry in any place that has a seating capacity above ____ people. I cant think of the number. But sports and movie places usually seat more than the number so they are a no go.

It is sports arena or stadiam that seats 2500 or more, I do not belive that includes Movie theaters, I teach the MI CCW Class and the LAW part as well, Here is the the link to pistol free zones,
