I'm thinking about buying this rifle but don't know much about old rifle's and I'm looking for a little info about it. It's only got a name on top of the receiver and a year CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI 1899. It dosen't tell the caliber I think it's 6.5x 55 but no sure and a whats it worth.
its a swedish mauser. its 6.5x55 mm. not sure what it is worth since its been sporterized probably 200 at most.
that ammo is somewhat hard to find. but if you look it can be found but it will be expensive
I will add the 6.5 Swede has been long considered the most accurate of the Mausers made and the cartridge itself is known for being inherently accurate.
