She actually rationalized the issue as being related to respecting one's dignity.

This is a perfect illustration of how deluded our politicians really are.

Nancy Pelosi was always a radical leftist but with some of her recent comments I believe she has actually gone insane. Nothing will ever top "you have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."

Her pay should be commensurate with the level of dignity she brings to the job. But if that were the case, she would have to pay the American people back, not the other way around. She's lucky she's not sitting in a Federal prison somewhere for treason. Don't traitors usually get the firing squad during times of war?? Maybe she should beg to be spared that istead.

Forgetting the fact that Obama is the current President and that you disagree with his politics, why is $400k for the office of the POTUS too much? Given the physical toll it takes and the amount of work a President does, I'd say it's a fair wage. Have you ever seen a President that didn't appear to age two decades during their term?

The only dignity that socialist anti-American person from commiefornia can show us is by stepping down... maybe off that famous bridge in her district?

Throughout my career, during my employer's lean years, I had my "dignity undermined". When my company does well, I do better.

Ms Pelosi, when you achieve results that result in better times for your employer, may be then you can have your dignity restored some.

In the mean time, **** on her.

I wouldn't want the job even at that pay. what I'd like to see though, Is if he goes on vacation or somewhere of a personal matter (all of them for that matter) They have to pay the travel expenses.

I would think that as a Socialist she would WANT to have a more modest income to preserve the dignity of, lets say, the average food service worker.

The President doesn't take vacations. If you think his trips to Camp David (for example) are vacations, then I think you don't understand what the job entails. He is On Duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, no matter where he is or what he is doing.

    Or maybe not......

Seems nobody could find the bastard when the ambassador in Lybia was being killed... you know, by those folks angry over a video.

"I think we should respect the work we do," Pelosi said. "I think it's necessary for us to have the dignity of the job that we have rewarded."

You miserable ****ing *****. Things I was willing to die for, you have deliberately attacked. No, since you and your "colleagues" don't respect my rights - especially my Right to keep and bear arms - you should be forced to clean latrines for, at best, minimum wage. That's being more than generous, and more reflects your actual "worth".
