I do not use INGOs ignore list feature.

I guess it is the libertarian in me that's says if I don't like someone or something I just don't read it and they can do and say what is stupid to their hearts content.

It would cost you more than it is worth in the long run.

I just checked and I have only 1 on my list, and I could remove that one as he is now banned, after having flamed out in just 2 days of membership.

I don't use the ignore list either. Even folks I disagree with about certain things, there's usually other things we do agree with...either that or I don't want to miss a chance to mock them or witness a flame out.

Although I've thinking of putting that HarleyRider guy on there because his posts make my head hurt.

I just have him on my mental ignore list. If his post is more than 3 words or I hit a leading apostrophe I stop reading, as it just makes my brain hurt. Maybe an inline translator add in on his posts would help.
