Hey all, this is my first post here.

My buddy has an 1884 Springfield 45-70 with a bayonet attached. I was wondering if people still buy these weapons or not. I've had some collectors show me the books on how much they're worth, but I'm not sure if that does it any justice.

The rifle has a few scratches and nicks, but everything else is still intact.

My question is for any collectors or anyone who knows what these types of rifles are worth since they're so old. Thanks!

Yep I'd say $500 to $800 is spot on.
I paid $500 for a nice 1884 with ramrod bayonet last summer. They seem to sit for awhile at $800.
