I plan on squirrel hunting with this SBR'd 10/22 so I threw a scout scope on it. I'm going to get a dedicated can for it but until that gets "approved", would the muzzle blast from this arrangement be an issue?

I don't think .22 is going to break your scope...but why isn't it suppressed, hmmmm?

I'm asking this from a position of ignorance, so bear with me, but don't you lose a lot of accuracy and velocity with a barrel that short?

Not enough velocity difference to matter at 50 yards and this tac-sol barrel is probably more accurate than the factory barrel. Its not a Kidd but good enough for the squirrels.
Thanks! I was genuinely curious. It will look more "normal" to me with the can on it, but it just looks awkward with the stubby.

As long as it wasnt a trust, You'll probably have it in your hands no later than midweek. I wouldnt be surprised if you get a call tomorrow afternoon or even Monday as fast as they've been turning them around lately.

That would be pretty nice. The last one I did was just shy of a year.

That is a sweet looking setup!

It'll be interesting to see if it's out of the gate squirrel head accurate at 50 and beyond? And with what ammo? Standard velocity, subs?

    :dunno:
