My grandson lives in Muncie and i have been looking for a place to take him fishing. Went to Prarie Creek a few times with little luck.

It's a little drive but check out Province Pond. It's a nice place with lots of crappie. Why the aversion to White River? I know it's dirty but it's by far the best fishing spot I've ever found. My buddy and I would go down by White River Blvd and Jackson and catch smallmouth bass as fast as we could cast. It almost wasn't sporting if you knew what lures to use. Stone jigs, green tubes with a few sinkers, jitterbugs, or a wiggling Storm lure seemed to be the best.
