Mueller APT 4.5-14x40 turret reset

Is anyone aware how to reset the turret on a Mueller APT scope? The directions do not tell you how and I have tried taking the screw out of the top of the turrets and the turrets still do not want to move without adjusting POA. Any ideas?

The screw in the top comes out and then you can pull the knob up and off; then re-zero it .

I have one and the knob was fairly stiff- just pull it straight up. It will come loose, as long as you have the screw out. I started getting nervous that I was being too forceful with mine, but then it slipped off.
