I have owned one for a little over a year now, the 24" model. I like it, it's proven to be very reliable. Hell I feed it the winchester AA low recoil low noise shells and it runs fine. I always here it's a crap shotgun from guys who don't own one. Have any of you guys had problems with yours?

Not the JM, but I built essentially that out of a 930 before they started offering it. The only, and I mean only time, it failed was when using the bulk federal from Walmart. The WWB Winchester ran 100%.

Similar for me. Not the JM, but my 930 runs great with anything I put through it.

I did the same thing with my 930, but it hates the Winchester bulk and loves the Federal bulk stuff! Go figure.

My 930, that I foolishly traded my 870 for, hardly runs. Lots of malfunctions with lots of different loads, both cheap ammo and quality. However, I'm determined to make a reliable gun out of it. I've used light steel wool on the chamber a couple times, and it runs better after each time. Still not perfect enough to be the HD gun I hoped for, but it's getting closer!

I heard so many bad things about the reliability with that gun that I bought a Stoeger M3K instead. It looks like there are a number of people here happy with their JM's though.:dunno:

I did have a problem with 1 of mine but it was easily fixed.
Mag tube spring was so strong it kept the rounds from feeding. Lightened it up a bit at a time and it runs like a race horse now.

This mostly. The Stoeger M3000 is a better gun and cheaper and when I bought mine over the counter was in stock and the JMPro was not even able to be ordered by anyone besides Gander MTN who wanted a premium price. It I could have shortened the stock of the Stoeger just a little it would have been perfect.
