We get thanked on Veterans Day...instead thank those who died and the families that sacrificed their loved ones in freedom's name.

Marine Cpl. Jacob C. Leicht was killed May 27th 2010 when he stepped on a land mine in Helmand province. He is the 1000th US troop killed in Afghanistan.

I made the family watch WWII in HD on the history channel. This is a recent work from the History channel that used interviews and mostly color film to make the greatest generation come to life in action in WWII. I even listed some quotes from this special in the greatest quotes section. I am glad that everyone watched to get a sense of their sacrifice. My family was moved.
