    Recently acquired one of these puppies from a relative and its a rather nice piece, however would prefer a bolt action. Its in great shape, but not NIB. Any idea on what its worth in private party sales? Google says about 400 what do you think? is there a market for this gun? I've heard mixed reviews on marlins, and 22 lever guns

    If you have the serial number there's a very good chance that you can look up the age of the thing.

    Of course, the older and better condition the higher the value.
