Marlin 336 Ballard Rifling and Leverevolution ammo

Has anyone tried the Leverevolution ammo in a ballard rifled Marlin 336? I had a gun dealer tell me they dont work well together. Stated that the Leverevolution works great in Microgrooved barrel but not as well in the ballard?

Well microgroove is intended to be an improvement over standard rifling for jacketed projectiles.

Ballard rifling is practically just normal rifling, but is preferred over microgroove rifling for cast projectiles.
