    Great Videos: YouTube "Marksmen"
[FONT=&quot]This guy "Marcucco" has a voice and attitude that should be used in actual films or commercials.
The first video: YouTube "Marksmen" pretty much says it all and the cynical voice continues in other "gun porn" installments.

It is nice to see some old-fashioned practical wisdom.

A 22lr at 80 yards is a hell of a lot different than a centerfire at 1000. What separates the men from the boys is calling and doping the wind. If he thinks that being able to shoot accurately from a standing position at 100 or 200 yards means he will be able to do so farther out then he is fooling himself.

Benchrest is about eliminating as many factors as possible to place rounds precisely where they need to go. The skill involved in winning has more to do with equipment selection & utilization and attention to detail than actually pulling the trigger although that isn't as thoughtless as this guy makes it out to be. Not my personal cup of tea but benchrest shooters are responsible for the majority of the advances in rifle accuracy to come about in the past 50 years.

Shooting off of a bipod requires more skill from the shooter's perspective than benchrest but less than shooting a rifle from an unsupported position. Again, if he thinks shooting accurately at 1000 yards is easy from a bipod then he is fooling himself. The wind is a very humbling beast.

Me thinks this guy is ignorant of what is actually involved in the different aspects of shooting. There is room for everyone, pick your poison.
