    Although 26 states, now, honor the Indiana permit, be careful with "preemption."

    Some states allow local laws and ordinances to preempt state law, which means you can unwittingly run afoul of the law even though a particular state recognizes the Indiana LTCH.

    The whole recognition/reciprocity/preemption issue is a real can of worms, and the worms are always moving and changing!

    In Michigan you must also "immediately" disclose to an officer your license if you are carrying or have one in the vehicle.
    I'm too tired to look it up, but there was a case where a person was charged for not "immediately" disclosing when it took them less than minute to tell the officer.
    +1 for working to educate yourself.
