the action bars on my 500a have a lot of side to side play in them, more so than a new one does. is there a way to tighten them up?

Normal for a mossburg...nothing wrong with it...wait, maybe I should take that off your hands...

My 590 is the coolest gun...until you pick it up and it sounds like Grandma's rocking chair. Gun is solid as a tank, but those slide rails kill me. My Winchester 1300 and old 16 guage (yep!) Wingmaster, smooth as glass...

Every Mossberg pump that I have handled has the ever so common wiggle and wobble.

I would not hold it against the gun as long as it goes bang and cycle shells!

Both my Mossberg 500 and 835 UltiMag rattle, and so does my uncle's 835.
I just assume that's how they we're designed.

That being said, they've never failed to cycle or to go bang.

what he said.. I'm not saying mossbergs are bad by any means but they just feel cheap to me.. 870 feels much better in my hands

I like the 870's (own one) but I would never say that my 590DA feels like the cheaper of the two guns.
