Saw some Smith-Wesson M&P15 Rifles locally tonight for $1400.

What's everyone think about them? The price seems to coincide with the price on their website.

    Good deal for the $?

The base m4 style model goes for $945 at my reasonable local dealer. That being said he has no ARs at the time. I have no first hand experience but from what I gather they are GTG. The $1400 price point would be more in line with the railed model with the flip buis. (I think the T model)

I have the S&W M&P15T and I paid $1300 for it 2 years ago. This is my "Go to Rifle"
Works great and it has my complete trust. The fit is tight and the finish was good. I think Stag made the lowers for them.

They have the railed model at $1500 and three others (with flip-up rear) at $1400.

Pat Rogers wrote an article on them for S.W.A.T. Magazine. They were used fairly heavily and from what I remember fared well. I wouldn't pay $1,400 for them though. Do they have rails or any other accessories?

    that's bad ass Nate

I saw it, and the buy it now button meaning it's in stock, started counting in my head, and had to close the window on the comp. I'm too poor for this crap, hell I have an AR I haven't even shot yet! :):

Oh, and the $.01 shipping doesn't help either!

Bought my AR-10 from 21st for $1700 w/tax before our furor came into office but the .308 is a little heavier duty though. When I shot that AR-10 Carbine - it was actually about as easy to shoot as my old issued M4! Talk about recoil dampening! This was with Magtech 150gr loads.
