New Lock'n'Load shows, two of them, with Gunny are on starting at 9pm tonight on the History Channel.

He's doing history of machine guns on the first one, and history of arty on the second.

I saw Gunny at the SHOT show a couple of years ago. People were lined up to get his autograph. Pretty cool.

I find Ermey's TV persona to be a little grating, but he seemed nice enough when my buddies and I ran into him at Knob Creek a few years ago. He was there to film a "Mail Call" episode; we happened to catch him right as he and his crew pulled up. Chatted a bit and took an impromptu photo. The autograph line later in the day was ridiculously long.

Both of the "Lock and Load" shows tonight were pretty good; he certainly gets to play with some neat toys.
