I got excited when I received the email, then I went to the Ruger website and saw the MSRP of $2200! Been trying to find a .308 semi auto to be my battle/fun rifle. I cannot justify spending that much right now though.

Ruger's MSRP is always higher than what you can find it for. The SR-556 was around $1900 and they were all over gunbroker at the time for $1300-$1400.

Retail on the 7.62 is $2,200. That means it should be going for $1,400-$1,600.
