Has anyone heard of LA swat team switching to a "new" round for their ARs?

Maybe a 6.8?

That is what was said on the deadliest warrior program the other night. Darn people shooting my favorite round and sucking up all the brass! No wonder the prices just went up again!

I believe they switched over sometime in 2008 to the 6.8 round. 2002 SWAT adopted the Kimber Custom II single stack 45 as their sidearm. The Glock 21 is still standard issue for patrol.
