The last time I went (last month) the promoters wanted to save money and rented the smallest amount of space they could...aisles were about one person wide making moving around very difficult. You had to squeeze by people constantly and if you were carrying anything it was worse. Get there early and be ready to suck in your gut.

I like the Kokomo show. It is tight, but there is a lot of good stuff there for everyone.

I have usually had good luck at the Kokomo show. Granted finding something you want at any show is pure luck, but it seems I usually enter the Kokomo show with money in my pocket and walk out with some combination of Steel and/or wood and/or plastic.

If Mr. Johnson is there with his chocolates, I always leave with a few pounds of high calorie stuff!

    Yep! :yesway:

They were along the back wall last week at the 1500...I asked them why I hadn't seen them at the Kokomo show in a while and they said that they normally skip the Kokomo shows during the summer because it's a small show and with the summer heat melting their goodies it wasn't worth it for them.

So I made sure to stock up this time around. I find that bringing my wife a quarter pound of chocolate covered toffee makes her pay less attention to me as I mumble an answer to her inevitable "how much did you spend" question. :D

Anyway...yeah, the Kokomo show is pretty small and it does get pretty packed in there...but I think it's worth the $5 to get in. I've found some great guns there in the past, plus most of the folks and dealers there are friendly and I've always enjoyed the gun talk along with the tables o' stuff.

The ZX guys out of Goshen usually make some pretty good deals at the Kokomo show as well... so look for them near the back of the room.

There are a decent amount of ammo dealers... I usually find a few good deal, but I don't tend to buy in bulk.

I'd say that this show is like 1/4 the size of the 1500. That's not really a bad thing. The end aisles are wide enough but it is tough to get through the middle sometimes.

What's the going rate for 7.62X39 these days?

And what would be considered a "decent deal" for the 7.62 at a gun show?

I might try and make this one on Saturday

    ammo 180.00 to 250.00 per 1k

    sks's will run 200.00 to 350.00

Ak's will run 300.00 to the moon

Unless Cwood is there selling ammo there might only be one other guy selling bulk ammo.
