Kevlar Bullet Trap?

Anybody have any experience with Kevlar curtains as a bullet stop for a range? A club I belonged to in Ohio had a kevlar curtain and you could shoot anything (handgun) other than .357 and .44 MAGNUM. The bullets just hit the curtain and fall to the floor. Anybody seen/used/built one?

It's about $25 a yard. I am waiting to hear from the guys at the old club. I would only use it for .22lr.

That's actually less than I thought. I would have expected it to be an order of magnitude higher than that.

For some reason I was thinking that .22 LR was one of the few rounds that would actually go through kevlar.... Maybe not through....

I think .22 Magnums will but not Long Rifles.

I have heard that .22 mag will pentrate kevlar as well but I don't have any data to back that up. I can't remeber where I heard it. Maybe a guy at the range.

Huh... That was .22 T-bolt, though, i doubt a rimfire .22 would get through.

Edit: Either way, i still wouldn't wanna get shot with one =P
