I went to the range today. Had a great time, but that's a different story. Came home to clean my guns and my youngest, who's in Kindergarten, asked if he could help clean a rifle. He has helped before, so I said sure.
Me: What's the first thing we have to do to clean this gun?
Him: Make sure there's no bullets in it.
Me: (excited.) That's right. And why's that?
Him: Because we don't want to have to clean the bullet too.
Me: So close.
Well, he's on the right track and he's learning, so what can I say? It did crack me up though and thought I'd share.
