Similar to TSC, do we believe it?
Nope. The people who thought DEI was a great idea are still in their positions. Their political money will continue to go to Democrats who push authoritarian Socialism. The only thing they are doing is reacting to bad PR with smoke and mirrors. They assume that if they can blow enough smoke, attention will be deflected from them and after some time they can return to pushing their woke agenda. Meanwhile, the money will continue to flow to Socialist candidates/PACs.

Now if Deere would just announce that they were no longer going to penalize the purchasers of their farm equipment for having the temerity to maintain it themselves...
There is also the issue of holding you hostage from going outside a dealer's region to purchase new equipment. Some farmers in my area have dropped Deere because of it.

I only own a lowly Deere lawn tractor (from a dealer, not a big box store). It's served me well for the past 18 years, and hopefully will continue to do so, but if I need to replace it, I may look into another brand.

Nothing but lip service if these reversals don’t include resignations from those in the DEI decision making positions.
Yep. "We're abandoning our DEI programs effective immediately."

I have a JD lawn tractor, that I have been considering replacing for the last few years, not with a another Deere, either. It’s been a decent mower for almost 15 years, but the several times I’ve needed to replace a part, I’ve just engineered something myself, rather than pay their nonsense replacement part price.

I’ll probably keep it around after I get a zero turn next season, but I’ll paint it completely so it’s not easily identifiable as a JD.

I have a 2006 that I've had since 2006 (bought new). I've had to do what I guess I would consider routine maintenance (replaced the steering sector 3x, which I think is excessive), but I still like it. Don't know what I'll replace it with. When I was a kid here, I mowed on a 1940-something Jacobsen reel mower with a sulkey! So the JD was an improvement over that.

Mine has had one of the deck wheel brackets come off mid mow, couldn’t hardly tell where exactly it was supposed to weld onto the deck. I could spend 15 minutes with my five year old grandson and teach him to weld better than that! One of the deck height brackets broke off in the same manner, zero penetration on the weld. I’ve bent my own parts at work and welded them, and instead of replacing the wheel bracket, I used some 3/8 all thread and invented my own little deck suspension setup.

Oh, and the half inch stainless rod that stabilizes the front of the deck, it broke in two at the cotter pin hole, I found a replacement on Amazon for that, but couldn’t find ANYTHING detailing exactly how it was supposed to be installed, so that was trial and error for a while. That one really ticked me off, that JD couldn’t be bothered to show details in a manual or online, and all they would say at the dealership was “ bring it in”. No jackass, I’m not borrowing a trailer or loading it in my truck and hauling it to you so you can charge me $500! That was a few years ago, before all this gay stuff, but they lost me on that alone.
