Is it a bad thing when your daughter is fully dialated and laboring with your grandchild and you're in the waiting room thinking about how you'd just love to own a Smith & Wesson Model 586? LOL! .... Ok. She's here!!!

I am dreaming of a 4" barrel 586. The impregnator is my daughter's husband. LOL! That line of thinking never entered my mind. 7 lbs 9 oz, 20 1/2 inches long named Addison. She is awesome...and it would be awesome to own a 586 too. Hehehehe.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family!

You know, she might want a SW 586 when she gets older... maybe you should buy her one now and "hold" it for her... :):

Sorry. Can't agree with you. You need to be dreaming about a pair. One for you and one for the newest addition. That'll give grandpa something to with her in a few more years!

Congratulations! Now you get to buy her first gun too. Oh and it's only bad if you tell your daughter or your wife what you were thinking. ;)

Thanks for the congrats! I hate to admit it, but when I was driving to the hospital to see my daughter and her husband, I tried to go to a gun store that I had never been to, because my wife and I were drivng seperate vehicles and left at different times. My GPS wasn't exactly cooperating with the street address, so I just looked at a map and tried to wing it. I was driving down country roads I had never been on and thought to myself, "Self, if you have car trouble, you are going to have a real hard time explaining why you not only missed the birth of the baby, but were on a road that doesn't lead to the hospital." I ended up turning around in some farmers drive way and went to the hospital. I also realized I would have a hard time explaining where I acquired the new gear. You have to love a gun nut. LOL!!
