iPhone maps and map apps

How is the new iPhone 5's maps app? Are they still having problems with it?

And what's your favorite map app?

I have the iPhone 4, and I haven't upgraded yet. I use the google map app too much, and I don't want to upgrade and lose it, to only get stuck with the crappy Apple Map.

I have the 4 as well, bu I updated to IOS6 and the maps changed to the new version. IT SUCKS ROYAL!!! Wish they would go back to google maps.

The Australian Police have declared the iPhone Map app to be dangerous as it could get unprepared people lost in remote areas.

I have iPad II and upgraded the OS and got stuck with the Apple Maps, not a good thing.

Well, if you don't like the new Apple Maps app on your iPhone, then it should be easy enough to get over to the App Store and download the new Google Maps.

Although....it looks like Google maps ain't all it's cracked up to be, either. At least in terms of Australian police warning about it.

I have a iPhone 5 and use Mapquest maps, they get you lost like my google maps on my previous Android phone but closer

I must have got the good iPhone 5, I've never had a problem, and I've used maps quite a bit.

Like stated before.. I downloaded google maps today and did some of my tests to make sure it was correct. It is very up to date, and much friendlier / quicker than the factory Apple Maps. Voice navigation is also good and the interface is very simple.

They did fix it, to the best of my knowledge. I prefer google maps.
