Ok, I have iOS5 on my ipad and iphone. I've never had texting on my phone but am wondering how to use the iMessage feature of iCloud. What number or address do I type in each device to message the other?

You can imessage to your email address, whichever one you used to set up the iCloud service on each device. Should also be able to go from the iPad to the iPhone's number.

Your Phone will recognize who does and does not have OS5. If they have oS5 your chat bubbles are now blue (iMessage) or green (regular text)

have you guys had a lot of texts go through as text instead of iMessages? It seems like about half of mine that should be iMessages wind up waiting for a while, then either going through as a text or not going through...

I've had a few, it seems to depend on data speed. :dunno:

I refuse to update to iOS 5 until there's an untethered jailbreak, nothing on iOS 5 that's worth losing that for (for me anyway). My iPhone 4 runs 4.3.3 just fine jailbroken and untethered.
