6 meg DSL over 52 y/o wires, tech said good as I can get for now until the fiber reaches the neighborhood and they upgrade the whole neighborhood.

Do you live in a retirement community or what?! I live very close to a hub and the highest i normally get is 22 mb/s. You must have no neighbors hogging your bandwidth atm. Anyhow, I still wish mine hit that high.

AND THIS is business class that we pay almost $100 a month for... sigh... Of course, Scutter might be in there hogging all of the band width.

Are you using a router? I'm not on my test.

I did it again but not much better. Like I said, Scutter might be doing something as well.

I wouldn't mind switching to Business class cable but have a few fears.

    1. I need static ip addresses
    2. I need to be able to host a server and not be penalized for doing so
    3. I want to make sure that I am not sharing my bandwidth with the neighbor so if he's downloading/uploading stuff, I don't want that to penalize me as well. What happens when the kids all come home from school at 3? I'm still at home working from my home office so will my speeds go WAY down?

I'm all for finding a better solution.
