Indiana Map

Is there anyway to link to a mapping service? This would allow you find some of the more out of the way Indiana locations. Since I have started checking out the ads, I spend a lot of time looking for BFE on the map. Then maybe we could get the sellers to list their zip code. See where I am going. No more asking some tard where he is located because it is not in his info. That should keep the Black Helicopters from circling. And keep me from getting all excited about an item that is way too far away to be a deal.

I have yahoo maps bookmarked.


I put in my own zipcode, and the Town, IN . it comes back with a map with a traced route on it, and the distance. very useful.

I also have a map (image) of indiana saved on my pc "desktop"

We use http://www.mapservices.org/ on my board. Got member locations, shop locations, meet(restaurant) locations, and I think that's pretty much it.

Stuck it in a vBulletin generated HTML page. Works pretty well.

Members can add any location to the map but one of the admins actually "manages" it. Not advisable to put address or anything like that, but it is pretty much point and click, add location and other information, maybe a small image.

That's done easily enough with some [ map ] [/ map ] love. Doesn't even require html to be enabled...

Admins have to import and enable such a thing. I bet it'd be great just for vendors and sites to shoot, let alone a general member locations map.
