My wife and MIL were set up at an Art Fair near Atterbury today. So I went there to kill some time and my son (he's 7) came with me.

This is the first time he has went with me and he said he didn't want to shoot, but changed his mind after we got there.

So he is shooting my New England Firearms 32 S&W long revolver.

He hit the target a few times. :rockwoot:

He said he wasn't going to claim it, but I think he will.:D

Always good to hear of parents taking their kids to the range. Keeps them out of trouble.

Wow, I read the title, and was expecting the worst. +1 to you for taking the son to the range. Oh and I have to concur with the others, you didnt loose a gun, you gained another shooter. All the costs of teaching our kiddos to shoot. My daughter wants her first pistol, unfortunately she is only 13, I may give her the pistol that my dad taught me to shoot with, a Arminius .22. OH well GREAT story!

this is where a strategically placed comma makes all the difference... the above is what appeared in my browser's thread preview.

in other news, good job on the kid! its great when kids take the reigns, as it were.

I am glad that you and your son had a good time together. I have been to craft fairs too as was my role as a husband. There are a burden of boredom.

I tried to find a picture of a NEF .32 S&W long revolver but I could not. I am not familiar with this gun. What is it basically like?

Look on gunbroker for an r73

Its a 32 H & R Mag. like this one, but mine is SS. ( the link I had didn't work)

    Nice small 5 shot.

Thanks for the reps.. It was a great time. I asked my MIL if she wanted to go, but she said "no". Now I need to find a cricket.
