I had to attend the funeral of a relative today and while the procession was escorted by two motorcycles, I saw something that made me have a little more faith in people. The vast majority of vehicles we met pulled over and stayed pulled over until the last of the line of mourners had passed. There were some asshats that slowly creeped forward and one with New York plates that passed a couple of cars that were pulled over but 99% of the vehicles sat there respectfully. One guy south of town actually got out of his car and stood beside the door until we all passed which is I have never seen. My aunt was not a veteran, there was no flags other than funeral flags on the hearse and window tags on the cars in the procession and people still took a moment to pay respect by pulling over until we all drove by.
So if any of the members here from Bloomington or any that were in Bloomington were in any of the cars that pulled over for a funeral procession around 3 pm, thank you. You made a sad day a little brighter.
